Man, luck is not on your side here. But at least you are getting through it. With the Miata, it's a 91, so a 1.6. Watch for the shortnose issues and lifter tick, and you should be set

Thanks for the heads up. The timing belt was recently changed, so hoping it was done correctly. The engine is actually very clean for a 24 year old car. It leaks a little, but so did my 12 year old i4 Accord. Just hoping it can last me a month or two so I can sell it back for a small profit after performing some maintenance on it.

If you can, keep it as a daily. They are a blast to drive and modify

With 180,000 miles I'm reluctant to keep it. I'd much rather have a backup car that I'm not worried about. The lack of power steering has definitely been fun, though. lol

J32A2 arrived at the machine shop today. A $500 deposit assures me the engine will be disassembled, washed, and assessed over the weekend. I'm planning on making it a J37 stroker. The prospect of a 300whp/290wtq NA build has me excited.

Sweet. I wish I would have been able to clean and paint my block while it was out.

I've thought about painting my head covers and IM, but at this point I'll be satisfied with a running engine. The price is getting pretty high. lol

I received my 5/8" engine spacers in the mail today from Adam.

Tomorrow I'll have my J37 IM, Honda cover plate, P2R gaskets, P2R cover plate bolts, and P2R J37 crank snout.

Tomorrow I'll also be giving Acura full access to my bank account:

2003 CL TYPE S

13011-RYE-A01 RING SET, PISTON (STD) 33.53

13210-RYE-A00 ROD, CONNECTING 38.52

13213-RYE-A01 BEARING C, CONNECTING ROD (GREEN) (TAIHO) 9.25 * 12 = 111.00

13323-RYE-A02 BEARING C, MAIN (UPPER) (GREEN) (TAIHO) 10.18 * 4 = 40.72

13343-RYE-A02 BEARING C, MAIN (LOWER) (GREEN) (TAIHO) 10.18 * 4 = 40.72

The only thing I have left to do is get a look at the 2008 Acura TL Type S cams to machine a spacer for them.

If you ordered the P2R spacer and gasket, please send me a link. I've spent months trying to find one

The lock actuator stopped working on my driver's side door. 3 hours of messing with it and I took a crow bar to it. 2 hours later I took an angle grinder to it. 5 minutes it opened. I now need a new door, though. Never been so mad at a car.

Final engine parts will be here Monday to finish the 3.7L build. Hoping the car is on the road by February.

Mine was a pain to get to. Going through those little port holes in the door is a terrible time. I barely got mine on. I understand your pain there
