VENTILATION SYSTEM BREAKDOWN

Hi!

The ventilation system in my 1999 Accord sedan is malfunctioning!

Although the indicator lights are functioning on the control panel, airflow is only via the eye-level vents.

Upon trying to adjust the airflow to defrost or to the car floor level, airflow only is via the eye-level vents.

What is required to fix this so airflow can be selected to defrost or to the car floor level?

I am concerned this must be fixed very quickly since annual safety inspection is very soon!

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like it could be the mode motor - #79140-S84-A01 (if vehicle is non auto HVAC).

I could be wrong but I don't think the HVAC mode is part of a safety inspection in PA.
