I have the weirdest problem with my Vtec, when i start it up cold it works fine for about 10 minutes or so. then after that It wont work and I cant go past 4000 rpm, It just redlines. I've tried replacing the vtec solenoid and resetting the CPU... any answers? =/

Yeah I've spent hours looking through forums and stuff but not found anyone with the same type of problem, but i think I may have found a possible fix... based on the forum you posted it looks like i may need to replace my cat

UPDATE: I found a couple places where other users had the same problem with a dented oil pan, which mine does have a pretty beaten one, so i'm going to replace it and see how that goes! wish me luck guys!

its too bad we dont have i-vtec where its electronically monitored. But thats definitely weird if it works when the car is cold and not when warmed up. Hope your oil pan replacement works! let us know how it goes.

I swear it must be like a ritual for all 6GA owners to experience this trouble code at some point during ownership.
