Hello all, new to this forum and am looking for some customizing advice on my first car, a 2002 accord LX 2.3L I bought(only 111k miles!:https://gyazo.com/8adccdebf38074eb37157170986a7424 . I just recently got into an accident and this is the damage:https://gyazo.com/00642ce833eb8a379e023a751674c985 . I want a new hood, fender, set of headlights, and bumper. I am looking at junkyards for the fender, hood and bumper cover, but was considering a kit such as this:https://gyazo.com/76af1cf7112c4f1e8d0932aec50c8cc2 . Would a new bumper cover be necessary if its currently intact and a body kit would cover it? As for a new set of headlights, I plan to get these:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NMD76PV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1. Is there something on this list https://www.carid.com/2002-honda-accord-headlights/?filter=1&sub-model[ourBodyTypeName][0]=Sedan#prod-list that anyone would recommend over the set I showed, Or should I get OEM headlights and nothing fancy? I have also found a spoiler at a junkyard that I may get, but can it be dismounted and mounted on to mine(coming from a 1998 accord sedan)? And for wheels, I plan to get something like these:https://www.reddit.com/r/JDM/comments/q6kquw/here_are_some_interior_and_engine_bay_photos_as/ . They are 17x8 which I believe would be too large for me. What should I know with regards to wheel swapping in terms of size, and does anyone have any recommendations? Lastly, I am not a fan of the pinstripe on the sides, can they be removed without causing damage to paint? Any recommendations on replacements for areas of interest described above are also appreciated!
Those projector lights have absolutely shit output, I know, I had a pair back in the day. A lip kit like that will definitely clean things up on it. I'd just get a set of ebay or wherever oem black housings and consider doing a retrofit (or have someone do it for you). You can mount the oem spoiler, but you'll have to either swap trunk lids (and lights and trunk springs depending on what year it is), or drill holes. An easy, cost effective, and less intrusive spoiler would be something like an ebay M3 trunk lip spoiler. 17x8 are just fine, I had that size (as well as others on here) on my vehicle and ran I think a 225/45/17 tire. Pinstripes can be removed, depends on if they're painted on or just stickers. Most of the time they're just stickers and can be removed with an eraser wheel (google that).
Thanks! I found a Hood/fender/bumper cover replacement, but its off a 2002 6cylinder(I have a 2002 4 cylinder). Do you know if These parts are interchangable onto a 4 cylinder? I know the hood on 6cyl has shocks instead of a prop rod.
