weird phone call

I just got this phone call from a lady saying she is from card services wishing to reduce my interest rate on my credit card, she said that since ive been making my payments on time i qualify to get my credit rate reduced. Has anyone ever heard of this? she wanted my card number to pull my info up but i didnt give it to her. Anyone know if this was a scam?

sounds like a scam to me duy.

unless she told you what company she is from and can back up her info

Word. If they called YOU, they've already pulled your file and should have more than just the number in front of them.

if you keep hanging up they'll keep calling back,

just ask em nicely to stop callin you because you're not interested

and if the offer was legit, they would ask you some security questions,
date of birth, address, so on and so on... not your card number

maybe even mess with them a little and say you know theyre running a scam and just get on their nerves

Don't automatically assume its a scam. If she calls back, ask for her name and extension number. Then call the phone # on the back of your card, and ask for her. If she's there, its not a scam.

ask for their name/address and tell them that you have informed/authorized ur lawyer to take care of this. they'll give you some kind of response. haha always works for me.
