Sadly, I don't have any idea who did or would do it. As I said they paint is terrible anyway but I know it hasn't always been there. I was opening the passenger door for my wife after taking her to lunch when I noticed.

Had I caught someone in the act, I would have pulled my concealed pistol and held them at gun point untill the cops got there. (overkill but that would put the fear into them to my liking for their crime.)

Those scratches seem to be not so deep. I was imagining deeper than that. It shouldn't be that difficult (expensive) for the shop to work on, especially since you'll be having it repainted.
