Plasma still suffer from burn in..so stay away from channels that keep their logo in the bottom or top corners..LCD for the win.

The line at the Bestbuy in Columbus was around the building at 7 PM Thurs., so I went to the one in Auburn and sat for about 10 hours. It was worth it though. I bought the 42" Panasonic Plasma, an iPod nano for mom, a 7.1 MP Kodak camera for the GF, a 1GB flash drive and a Nindendo DS with Final Fantasy 3 and Mario games.

Grand total: $3000 worth of stuff for $1700.

DLP iss the best choice if you don't want a flat panel set. most of the new DLPs are in 1080p and there cheaper than a same size plasma or lcd. I Have both a DLP and a Plasma both are SAMSUNG which is by far the best brand.

My co-worker told me he just bought a DLP 42" today for around 1000, and he says it is far better than plasma or LCD in his opinion. He says you've gotta think though, that they run with a light bulb that is like, $200, so if you watch a LOT of TV, it isn't going to be practical. He also said there's a rotating piece, which is another moving part in it that you wouldn't want to have quit on you, either. He has always had LCD's, and he says the DLP's are better picture anyway for the money to begin with.
