I've owned car for 4 yrs now and yesterday I got my 1st CEL....p1259 already searched and know wat it is...but I'm shocked..

"The P1259 (P1257, 58 and P1259) refer to Vtec System Malfunction. Oil pressure, or momentary pressure loss (low oil level) can cause this; as can a malfunctioning VTec control solenoid."

might need to clean screen in the Vtec solenoid.

when did u you get your last oil change?

Well I went on lunch and I was driving and it went off...I was gonna buy a new soleniod but now imma just clean it out and see if it happens again

i have had 4 cels in the past 5 days, lol

yeah, your vtec stopped working momentarily, check the oil level, make sure the car is warm and if it happens a gain, the screen may need cleaning
