I just notiched the green valve stems...do you have your tires filled with nitrogen or just have green stems?? if so how do you like nitrogen? i had it in my old tires but havent' gotten around in the new set
they're filled w/nitrogen. costco told me that's what they use only. this is my first experience w/nitrogen in tires so i wouldn't know any difference.

i didn't like the green valve stem either so i changed it to chrome ones and put the chrome valve stem sleeve over it also. i'll switch it back to the green ones for when i take my car in for service.

The main thing is a nitrogen has bigger particles (or whatever, molicules, i'm not a science person). Basically they hold air much better than air, lol. But that's the main reason. It's supposadly slightly harsher since it doesn't compress as much but i've never heard anyone actually complain or say they even notice a difference.

Yup, pretty much to maintain a more constant air pressure inside the tire..and after some google searching came upon a forum discussing it..

The biggest reason to use compressed nitrogen *in a racing tire* is that it's dry, compared to typical compressed air.

When a tire heats up, the air and any moisture inside it heats up as well. When the moisture inside the tire heats up, the water molecules move further apart, increasing the tire pressure. By removing this moisture, the pressure stays more consistent over the entire heat cycle of the tire.

now that you mentioned, personally, the ride is much more smoother than my stock wheels that's filled with air.

i took some daytime pics a couple hours ago. now it's just a matter of myself to upload them into my computer :computer:
