Was looking around the engine and I noticed this.

Can anyone help me Identifying this part? Also should there be something connected to it like a hose?

i've got that on mine too, its an i4 5speed. i've been wondering what it is too

Ok, Thank you! I was seriously looking all over the place, thinking that a hose popped off and I couldn't find anything.

Should you place some type of breather filter onto this? Anybody notice on of these on the V6?

Trans/shifter levers, goes to the transmission. Just leave it alone.
