No I said my friend was driving haha reread it. He was just using my car since I had gas. I was sitting in the back of my own car. And drunk driving Smh I have no tolerance for that.

this may be a little long but i was amazed.

so while driving, i always have my ipod playing. its been acting shoddy lately by randomly pausing during a song. it doesnt happen on any particular songs or albums or playlists, just random (been dropped a few times).
now the fun part.

i was driving home from work today, and i put on my classic rock playlist and was about to start enjoying the **** out of bohemian rhapsody, when it paused. "ok", i thought, so i hit play, set it back down, and it did it again 4 seconds later. and again. i got mad and punched the center console lid (surprisingly durable, i punch it hard, a lot :lawl:). then i hit play one more time, and it played through just fine and dandy. it only skips when i click next song (this is an 80gb ipod classic, btw.).
i decide its my aux wire coming loose from the ipod (which causes it to pause), so i put it in the little cubby thing just below my cd player, boom goes the dynamite, it works.

then i get curious, and change the song, hold it in my hand, and it plays fine. then, i set it down on my cupholder (lid closed, screen still lit) and it pauses after about half a second. it does this every single time i set it on the cupholder but only with the screen still lit.

i put it on the passenger seat, my lap, the cubby in front of the shifter, the floor, the dash, everywhere you may think to put it, and it only pauses when i rest it on the cupholder with the screen still lit (i also dont lock it, because **** that).

sorry for the long post for the seemingly mundane story, but i was amazed :lawl:

so i guess this isnt something i did to my accord today, rather what i discovered in my accord today.

Could be your AUX cable because don't iPods automatically pause when something is unplugged from the headphone jack?

I cant copy and paste since im on my phone, but i ruled that out in line 11 :lawl:
And its weird, because i set it on the cupholder, it pauses 3 times then works fine until i touch it and set it back down. Pretty sure my cupholder is haunted

That’s what she said?

so while driving, i always have my ipod playing...

If you’re setting it vertically in the cupholder but laying it horizontally everywhere else, try laying it horizontally in the cupholder. Could be the contacts inside the jack port of the ipod.
