What'd you do to your accord today?

^ The fact that there is a bit of exterior difference between BR's & OEM's, and they were coincidentally existing in my local area, really triggered my decision. W/o knowing those two things, my mind was all set for getting BR's. I better rep JV6 for letting me change my mind.

Honestly, this was my first time ever that I inherited someone else's parts for my car. ← This has to be so-called "beginner's luck" lol.

Today I marked out where I was going to cut my strut towers, was just about to start cutting away when my parents friend came over and saw the car. They offered 7k for the car without coilovers and the wheels..
I post-boned cutting my strut towers and now I'm thinking about it.

Is that in aussie dollars or converted to american dollars?

edit*

7k AUD comes to 6.8k USD

lol 7k AUD currently equals 7k + 5 dollars CAD

:(

~243,000km. It is indeed a good amount of money but to find another car to my likings, under 10k is like near impossible.

Dont settle. It would be a nice sum to have. Sadly your not here in the states. Ive found a couple of TSXs for under 8k...shnit. might see about picking one up next year.

Yeah there are a few tsx (Honda accords) here for around 8k but I'm very picky. Plus I don't really want a tsx.

If I were to be in the market to find another car, it'd need a bit more power, overall mint condition, not too many kms and honestly, I'd rather if the car is stock, that way I know that it hasn't previously been thrashed on with aftermarket parts, etc. I like to build my cars, not have it partially built already.

And the most important factor is who the owner is. Older, more responsible and mature the owner is, the more likely I'd buy it from them.

I don't really want to hear the owner talk about the performance aspect of the car, I'd like them to tell me about the service history, paint/body condition and interior and how often and where they drive it. In fact, the less they know about the performance aspect of the car the better lol (If you understand what I mean).

The perfect mentality to have when looking for a car. Honestly id look for the same thing. I got to find a '01 Accord V6 or the '04 TSX i want, i want service history. Not "oh yeah it has some power man".

Tell me how often you washed the car. If it sat out in the sun all day all the time. Did the oil get changed regularly or did it always go over 1-2k before it was changed. Last time gaskets were changed. Brake pads.
