Finished diy side view mirrors. If I get home from work early enough a good cleaning inside and out.

For seat covers thos actually look like the fit pretty well, which is always half the battle with those things. Thought about maybe getting a gray or charcoal 6GA headrest to match the seat? KnightRyder has a pair of 01-02's for sale in charcoal, might complete the look.

They actually came with headrest cover. I'll post. It doesn't look bad at all!

Took my lip to a body guy I've used before and he quoted me $200 less than the first shop I went to. I gave him the go ahead to fix the lip up, it will be like new. :) Probably should clearbra it again.

With everything that's happened to the car since I went this low, I've discovered that I think my car's well being is more important to me than I realized. I don't want to keep putting money into fixing/replacing stuff to keep the car looking its best...that said, I think I may raise it a little bit. :hide:

You're price shopping woes remind me when I tried to fix my rear bumper after my brother in law bumped into a concrete block at an IKEA parking lot. Went to about 10 different shops, the price ranged from $1200 at a body shop that is both 'affiliated' and 'approved' by my insurance company, to about $500-$700 at most places, and finally for $300 at a place where the majority of people didn't speak English :lawl:

Anyways, the body shops that work primarily with insurance companies charge a super premium. I remember my dad got into a small fender bender, passenger front fender, to be exact, took it to a body shop that handled insurance claims, and had the whole car repainted. But, according to the official documents, only the front fender was repaired for something like $1400 :lolrun:

I don't blame you for wanting to raise it up a bit, considering it's your daily driver. I remember driving through winter lowered 1.5" and wanting to rip out my hair.

^Yeah it’s hard to find good honest help when it comes to mechanics/body guys. Luckily I’m sort of in with the guy who is doing my lip, he welded the spoiler holes on my trunk, grinded it, then primed it. Should have gone to him first for this. But yeah, crazy how much the esimates can vary across shops. First place was $500, this guy is doing it for $250 - $300.

I just hate taking one step forward, two steps back with a car. That and I’m not wanting it put any more big money into it as I’m steadily feeling more ready to move on to something else. So I don’t want to have to fix/replace things anymore.

Thinking I’ll raise it ½” to start.

Ain' that the truth.

Those types of fixes are hard to justify sometimes.

Agree. Of course it looks better lower, but I'd rather protect it and keep it looking good over a long period of time. It's just too appealing to raise it when doing so greatly decreases the likelihood of stuff getting damaged or broken.

All this talk of cleaning EGR and IACV and whatnot has me tempted to try it out this weekend.

All this warm weather and better hours at work have me itching to do some minor interior mods. Retrofit some LEDs, attempt to mute some rattles and buzzing, etc etc.

Thanks for the feedback guys. However, I'm shocked that it is looked down upon on trying something new. Anyway, I've painted, modded etc. plenty of things to match the blue calipers and splashguards. If it ends up looking bad or tacky, I have a set of the original black guards I'll put on. I'll post pics later.
I will drive up to Tuscaloosa and smack the rice out of you

As I promised, here's the pic of the front seat covers.

Does it look like a million bucks ? nope! but i'm sure happy with the outcome.
