Man, WTF, reading these 'What'd you do to your accord today?' is becoming more and more like reading the obituary section of the newspaper. Sorry to hear long-time members are getting out of the game, but I know there comes a time when you have to let go.

Worked on what I thought would be as simple project, make the clock backlight come in with the key in the accessory position (same as radio backlight and radio playing). Well I jacked up the clock so bad it doesn't even show the time, only driver side power window works and power licks don't work. I even opened it up to check the lead names before I started!

Well I took a break and came back to it and it just turned out to be a blown fuse.

Also worked on figuring out how to get media to play from iOS devices and external hard drive for his 2005 Honda Pilot. He has DVD player in dash with screen in back seat. Only inputs are RCA cables and he didn't want to tear into his dash to drop in new equipment. So I went with a ROKU 2 (RCA) and his external hard drive can wifi ad hoc. ROKU has media player to pick up the hard drive files and ROKU iOS app has Play to Roku to watch movies and stuff from iOS to screen. Fresh, forgot to cheers after all that

Replaced some more burnt bulbs too. I replace some then others go out. My car thinks it's funny.

Are you able to visit. So sad. JK. Hope you get joy outta your new ride.

Woke up to see my rear window defogger didn't kick in with the remote start and I think I know what wire is the culprit. My Auto is messing around too much. I don't think he realizes he can show it off to the other bots when it's on.

Just out of curiosity, how did you wire the rear defrost to the remote starter? I've been wanting to do this, but my installer told me (like 6 years ago) that it wasn't doable without major rewiring.

I don't know if this will help but when I got my 2001 EX V6 I came up from an 88 Civic LX. Like 88HP ta wppHP. I was young and finances were right but I held on to the Civic for like six months, keeping up on insurance even though my Accord was my daily runner. Something about how small and agile that four banger was..no would have kept both if I could have justified it. I actually didn't wanna buy new 2001, girlfriend (at the time), now ex-wife Jedi Mind Tricked me into it. I was planning on getting a 97 or so. Had the funds too. Any hoot, I finally have it up and am very much happy in the new ride.

Helps that my older bro has a 91 Civic Si, in Red of course. So I can always ask him if I can take it for a spin. My Civic was stick too.

IMO, the 6GA is still the best looking Accord to date. You know it's an old car but it still blends in nicely with the more modern cars.

Oh, re defroster. It's a project alright. I was planning on putting together a kit with all needed parts. I know many aren't the best with soldering irons. Pro Tip: if you trying to burn down your car for the insurance money. Make sure you got insurance.

Oh, speaking of insurance I live life on the edge. I gots lots of life insurance AND I'm the beneficiary. Don't try to beat the system, use it. I'm fibbin to get PAID!!! So much money it won't fit in my pockets, they gonna have to drop them payments up my anus!!! Dolla, dolla bills ya'll. I'll keep it one hundred though. Family first.

Got my tint redone in the back door windows and rear window. He took off the dealer installed tint that was getting blurry. That dude did my fronts like eight years ago and still looking great. Got warmed up by Parking Enforcement for parking on the sidewalk during tint install.

Got rid of the gremlin that caused the rear defogger to not turn on. I am not happy with it coming on only with cold weather and remote start or keyb turn. Thinking of going back to original idea to run when temp under 55F and run five min every hour with low voltage cut off, just in case.

Oh, I got my water level sensor to add to my wiper fluid reservoir to let me know when it's low (Canadian style).

CHP whoop, whooped me for driving with only parking lights. Forgot to put them on. Another think the Canadian model has, a light when only the parking lights are on. Another one of my projects that's on the back burner.

Full day.
