Don't want to make a new thread, but has anyone tried cleaning/restoring the molding on the roof? I'm talking about the black plastic part that goes between the roof and the door and runs all the way from windshield to rear window (part number 9/11 below)

Mine is looking rather dull lately and I'd rather not buy new ones

I am pretty sure its a very hard rubber composite. 2000 grit sand paper with soapy water may work or you may just need to paint it with rubber adhering paint.

Rub it with goo gone and then water
