It's a "jdm" grounding strap.Does that thing drag the ground?
It drains static electricity off the car to the ground. They prevent painful static shocks when exiting the vehicle and eliminate electrostatic discharge ESD responsible for fire at gas stations.

Do they work?
I would consider it, I get shocked 90% of the time when I grab my door to shut it after I get out.

Got them today, dropping them off first thing in the morning so I can slap on some Khumo Ecstas x4's sooner than later
Then its time for a height adjustment (raise) even though I must say... I can see where being slammed becomes addicting. I'm pretty low and I've grown fond of it already lmfao.
PS. I've never got shocked from my car... ever.. lol
