Yeah, it's been a LONG time searching for one...almost like a CG OEM Coupe Lip Kit type of endeavour. :lawl:

I had seen some 9886's, but I figured I would hold out and see if I could score a good deal on a 9887.

Any cons with the series, in your opinion?

Um, no not really I think the button layout is awesome, always been a fan.
It looks clean compared to other decks, I like the interface as well its simple and well organized, it also has great adjustment settings like a high pass filter (love that). The interface itself is very fluent, it doesn't stutter like some other decks have a tendency to do.

The only complaint I have is after a year or two of normal wear and tear, the labels start to peal or rather rub off of the buttons, otherwise its a great line of head units.

Appreciate the feedback, thanks.

I will have to post a review once I get it installed.

I am just looking forward to being able to play my ipod through my system finally and no more cd's if I don't want to.

^+1. I bought a good one and it still sucked. I think the sound from a car kit tape is pretty decent lol.

Mine isn't too bad. Only time when its crap is when someone else has their channel set to the same/close frequency.. its particularly annoying as most of them have indian music playing through it.. :lawl: its happened 4 times..

I have two no name cassette adaptors, both were bought at different electronics outlet stores and have been working great.
