TL?

Too bad no Lude ones.

I had a fitment issue with mine, that left a bit of a gap one the driver's side, may have just been how it was installed, but hopefully you won't have that problem.

Thanks man, I'm hoping it goes well. Luckily the TL shifter came with a knob that I like, so I won't have to buy anything else before installing. Not sure when I'll have time to... Maybe this afternoon if I can hurry home

So I left my TL shift knob at my parents house... The one on there now is temporary. just sitting there, it's too big to screw on. Boot is the OEM 6th gen 5 speed one.

EDIT: I found the actual knob under my seat :lawl: need to work on making the boot fit better where it meets the knob.

went to the body shop today, to get a quote on a new front end. . . . . $658

Also good chance the new front end will be the coupe :)

Now i know i can search for this answer but it would jsut be easier if it was answered now. if i decide to get the 01-02 front end, will i have to modify a front lip to make it fit like the sedans ?

That was quick, lol. Looks good, though I think you're right about the boot being trimmed up. It looks like it's swallowing the shift knob haha. Clean though.

So the gate is still under the boot, right? Is it easy to remember where to move the lever and all? What about the autoshift slots?

Yeah I'll need to trim it soon. Yes, the gate is still under there, it's easy to shift though. It's pretty much just a straight back and forth motion except when you're coming out of park. And you can slide over to the triptronic part but it doesn't do anything. Does make me feel cool though :lawl:

My girlfriend saw it and was like "Dillon why are you making your car look like a manual. You're faking. That's stupid"

That looks good man.

I was actually going to do that. Fab up my own shift boot too. The way I do mine is I cut the shifter down and use the set screws that come with the knob to hold the knob down. That way the shift just moves when needed without pressing the button.

Sure it sounds dangerous but its not really. Just put your e-brake up when your parked. I don't have anyone ride in my car so there's no risk of someone hitting it ans knocking it out of gear either. Ill take pics whence I'm done with mine.
