Japan would be awesome. I've wanted to go there since I saw The Last Scientologist. Er, I mean The Last Samurai. :lawl:

Don't you need to learn some Japanese though to get around? Or are there English friendly areas? I thought only Europe was English friendly.

Richard, thank you, appreciate that.

Look at you sounding like the perfect husband on here, just in case the wife checks out your posts!

From what I understand, a lot of Japan is fairly English friendly. One of the benefits of English being the international language of business :usa:

Ah true, forgot about that. K now the only thing stopping me from going is the flight....I can't be on a plane that long. I barely stayed sane on the way to Italy and Hawaii.

@CB, my wife lived there for a little while and someone who speaks engilish can do quite well there.

Apparently, as a 6'2" nubian man, I could make money like crazy, from a variety of endeavours.

They will pay to have lunch with you and learn to speak english, singing at weddings is a popular thing as well.

Wish I had thought about that more when I was single.

Fishbowl for a while .. :ughrun:
Not cool.

How often are inspections? I can't imagine ripping off tint and reapplying all the time haha. So glad I don't live in an area where I have to deal with that crap.
I believe he said they only happen once in a long while, if not just once as long as you own the car. So he wont have to be tint-less for too long.

Also, all of the official public signs (i.e. name of the places for public roads & highways and train stations) are subtitled in English.

Here is a trick for a long flight: start packing your stuff at the time you go to bed. This way, you'll head out to the airport w/o any sleep. You'll be knocked out at the time of departure. If you wake up in the middle of the flight, hit a can of beer and/or a glass of wine and you'll be able to sleep again b/c of alcohol kicking in at the high altitude. By the time you wake up, it will be about 30 min before landing to Japan. This is my best way of dealing with 8 ~ 10 hrs of flight. :D
