You guys getting in the 21-25 zone, i envy you:eusa_drool:...guys getting above 35 i hope you're doing your measurements right.

PS. Please mention if you guys are talking in miles or kilometers or MPG or L/100KM

Also make sure you are measuring consumption by...
For Canadians: Amount of gas pumped to full in liters (divided) by km driven (multiply by 100) =L/100KM
For US: Amount of miles driven (divided) by gallons pumped to full=MPG
*making sure you reset your odometer to ZERO everytime you fill up your tank

Well those mileages aren't really correct.. Since you don't pump when you are completely bone dry... I usually pump about ~14 gallons when I pump. And i'm usually around 320-340 miles.

Actually both of you are right. The figures are correct, and your correct about no one filling a completely empty tank.

i actually get really good gas mileage do my tune up an then let me know what you get

Here is my average for the past 3 months:

(Mileage/gas [measured during refill])
348.8/15.214
336.3/13.869
375.9/15.964
288.4/13.397
328.2/15.164
294.1/13.230
353.8/15.713

21-24 mpg

I'd say I drive 50/50 (city & freeway) as much conservative as I can.

Mileages are perfectly correct actually. Thats just what you'd get if you actually ran your tank DRYYY.

I believe i mentioned how ppl should get their correct MPG or L/100KM anyz
For Canadians: Amount of gas pumped to full in liters (divided) by km driven (multiply by 100) =L/100KM For US: Amount of miles driven (divided) by gallons pumped to full=MPG *making sure you reset your odometer to ZERO everytime you fill up your tank

You pump 14 gallons, and hence have ~3.1 left in the tank and on 14 gallons get (lets say we go in between of your values) 330.
330/14=23.57mpg
23.57 X 3.1=73.06
So if you ran your tank dry you'd prob get around 330+ ~73=403 which comes out perfectly in proportion with my values above..

I top off the tank to the neck 16gallons and the best I have gotten on a tank is 483 miles. So the average is 30.19 mpg. I do about 80/20% hwy/cty. I have been gently on the acceleration, try to go with flow of traffic in the slow lane between 60-67mph.

98 4cyl. sedan auto
291,XXX miles
k&n filter stock air box no resonator, custom exhaust Seabring muffler, 15" stock alloys, 38psi. in the tires,10w-40 mobil 1. The only extra weight is the 10"sub with box and amp in the trunk and spare tire/jack.

I'll continue to experiment and see if I can get to 32mpg average one of these days.

Last time I filled her up I got exactly 350 miles on about 14 gallons, so 25MPG. And and I don't do much highway driving.

I get about 230-240, but that is purely local and the trip for me to go to school require me to go about a mile or 2 of hills and stop and go plus traffic. (so cal) majority of the time drive around 2.7 - 3.3 k rmp.

my 8.5gen 2.4L manual gets between 450-500mi in a 17.xx gal... max gal is 18

depend on how heavy is my foot on certain days...

i guess is not bad huh???

+ the fact that I average 70-75 mi/hr in hwy most of the time...

wonder how much more can I get if I average 60-65 mi/hr in hwy???
