Lol. Yeah. But 7.5 to 10 is a big step. Haha. Idk. The 17x9s i can buy one by one. Doing that while im piecing the rest of the suspension together seems like a good idea. Itll show me to learn patiance too. Lol.

I started with 17x7 +52, then went to 18x7.5 +42, then 18x8 +45, then 18x8.5 +31. haha definitely have learned a lot in the process and gotten a better feel for working with specs in general.

That's called graduating, right there.

I don't even remember the Motegi MR7 specs, other than 18 x 7.5, then there are the OZ Racing wheels, I have that I have no idea what the specs are either, 18 x 8(they had 235's on them when I got them for free).

The new wheels I am definitely familiar with the specs, 18 x 9 +23....can't. wait.

You're taking the approach of someone who wants to keep their car in good shape, that's for sure. My fenders are kind of effed right now lol.

Question about the studs, I'm planning to get 17x9 +12 all around. My question is will the low offset require me to get extended studs or does that not apply to offset, just spacers.

i.e. 17x9 +22 has same distance from wheel base to lug as 17x9 +0

so lug distance is affected by spacers? Sorry if this question is confusing

If you're just bolting up wheels to your car, you wont need extended studs regardless of offset. But when you start to add on spacers, after about 5mm, you'll need extended studs.

^+1. Though offset indirectly affects the studs since to fit the wheel you may actually need spacers. But yea bottom line is you only need extended studs if you add any sort of spacer larger than 5mm. I’ve been running 5mm spacers in the rear for a few years now, on stock studs.

That’s one way to put it haha. I am overly cautious and take my time with things, not to mention pretty conservative in how big a step I take when modifying. Sometimes it’s a bad thing though…

Btw here are some initial test fit pics from the new setup. :)

Not happy with the ride height yet, here is an idea of what I want it to look more like:
