I work at Performance Automall. We sell Acura Porsche BMW Subaru and Chevy new cars and everything else preowned. I check the cars that come in on the trucks so I drive every new car we get. I also do other small jobs, it just depends on how my day goes.

technically yes, but then id most deffinately be fired. it has happened before. the other kid i worked with got 2 numbers switched by accident and the customer asked about the car and bought it for the screwed up price. but the kid didnt get fired cuz it was an honest mistake. i could throw my excuse out as an honest mistake, but id still get fired cuz 2g's its 32g's short of msrp, hahaha.

wow, how do you repair them? haha. i know i could fix it in photoshop, haha.
Exacto knifes, various types of paper and fabric, glue, things of that nature. The main thing i use is alot of pacience, it's very frustrating but interesting as well.

well, you do good work, that spine looks perfect. its sweet how you got the paper to match...if you had to add any?
I just took that off a book repair website, not my own. I have done leather books like that but not with that much damage. Lately i've been recasing regular books. That's pretty much ripping the cover off and making a new one and hoping it stays together when you are done :D

When we work with really old books like the ones pictured, we rarely do major repairs to them. Mostly structural repairs but try to keep it looking as cosmetically good as possible. Since it's a library, we repair books more than restore books. We just can't have them out of circulation long enough.
