I agree....if you must do the white housing i'd do it this way. Keep the amber strip....

Definate nay from me. I've seen some cars where color matched looked good. Mr-s's, rx-7's converted to non pop up, etc. Cars with an exotic look. That's why f-430's, c6's, etc pull it off well. On accord, not so much. My oppinion anyway.
