Our family 5th gen auto was handed down to me and I drove it for my first 2 years of driving and then totaled it last March on St. Patty's (story: http://www.hondaaccordforum.com/My_totaled_95_Accord/m_119877/tm.htm). Had a budget of $4k - $6k to take out a car loan and was seriously looking at del Sols and 5spd 5th gens. Deal on a 1995 red Del Sol with only 102k fell through and wound up purchasing the 6th gen from a private seller.

Summary: Wanted to stick with Honda, had to be a 5spd, and the power bump from teh F22B2 to the F23A1 sold me.

loved the body style... and couldn't resist the color. Plus it was a good deal at the time, so jumped on it.

i was close to getting an integra.. then my dad said to go look at one last car, the 6th gen.. looked at it.. hated it's guts, i thought it was the worst looking car in the world, at the time it reminded me of an old persons car, saw no potential whatsoever.. it had 5% tint and a red honda emblem.. my dad bought it anyway.. thank god he did..

Lol, i guess i'm one of 2 people who bought an accord with no parental influence. I actually bought my car with the intention of getting rid of it quick. I've had a few Honda's, they have all been reliable, etc. I started getting panic attacks alot when driving so i just needed to get rid of my talon. I wanted a coupe but bigger, i also wanted something i wouldn't have to worry about in the time i owned it. It's been 4 years i believe, i figured i'd only have it for 1. Now i can't decide if i want to sell it for something nicer or get a project car.

My parents wouldn't let me keep "my" Mustang when I moved out so I had to buy myself a car that I could afford with my own money. Needed something reliable that got decent mileage and wasn't a total econo-box. Both LeeAnn and her father have 6ga's and they haven't had many problems with them, I love the body style, and when we found this '99 AV6 coupe in DEP for so cheap, I had to buy it. Now I'm just enjoying it. :)

mine was bought in 05, i believe by my dad. who was on this crazi fude bout finding the, "fully loaded" accord. like it is ex, leather bla bla bla. at first i was like wtf is that, but i was like wth its his car. well after 2 weeks he didnt like the car and gave it to me. before hand i had totaled my 4th gen "88 accord lx-i 5spd 2.0 non vtec". but i first drove it and felt the power of the 3.0 vtec and i was sold. the auto-tragic isnt the best but it proves its self often. so this is how she is now " forgive the friends in the car"
