used to walk by one everyday.. the body lines and window framing kind of reminded me of the r34 skyline

always just loved the accord coupe body style and would always say to my dad that the cars would always be a timeless design.

as i was graduating HS, we were looking for a car to replace my '91 Passat since I'd be driving 6 hours to school/to come back home. Went to a Honda dealership and drove it around and loved it. But I wanted a different color so I was still loking around.

I come home on Graduation Day and it's sitting there in the driveway. In all it's goldness. :lawl:

A hand-me-down from my dad with slight mods. Drop,CAI,DC Headers. Reason why I wanted it? Cause after the cold-air and drop I was sold. Plus when it has the Intake/Headers combo it makes the car sound mean, not like the loud-*** tegs and civics at my school. Plus sometimes its good to be different.

when it was my dads

I actually wanted an s13 but I was going to commute to school everyday so my dad wanted something more reliable. He also didn't want anything fast because he used to race and knew it was bad etc etc yadda yadda...

He went to a dealer we knew that sold cars used by the catholic church (leased for no more then 4 years and then sold) and my senior year of highschool (2002) I got a 98 black auto ex ($8,500 @ 60K) with limo tints all around (yeah made me think what was a priest doing in this car...)

SOooooo anyway, that car was having slipping transmission problems. Luckily the dealer we got it from gave us a 1 year unlimited warranty :leeann:.

I went through 2 ECUs and 4 automatic transmissions (i should say I suggested at each transmission swap that they make it manual... but they said it was too labor intensive :bash:)

Anyway, I modded that one mildly with black housed lights, lowering springs and some LEDs inside, but totalled that one under a truck on the highway.

Nonetheless, we got it fixed (>$6,000) and said we wanted to trade it in under warranty and I got my current 6th gen 2001 Ex Sedan.

end.

I walked by one that was slammed and fell in love with it. Then my Talon took a crap on me, and looked around but couldn't find any 5 speeds. One of my friends from back home had one that he was selling, but I really didn't want to buy it due to the ugly paint. But after about a month of looking, couldn't find anything. So I called my friend up, took it for a test drive, and bought it.
