Why won't these fuel pressure regulators fit a V6?

I want to keep my stock regulator, but bump my pressure slightly (heat soak idear). I'll stick in a vice (to squish the spring) if one of these won't fit.

The stock bits are so damn reliable, I might as well keep what I can.

The ad says:

"90-02 Honda Accord 4 Cyl Models Only"

Why is that? Are our stock FPR's a different size?

Overall, it looks like they are just a different form factor. I'm not sure. I feel like it would be okay? Not sure.

So I went to the junkyard today. They had no V6 Accords, but they did have a TL with a J32, so I grabbed the FPR. Then I compared it to some F23 reg's and it looked the same. So I got one, for ~$3! Woot!

Then I got home and ordered one of those things off ebay for ~$25.

So in a ~week I'll have all the parts and see how it works out :D

Say I want to run an ethanol mix, how much pressure can the stock pump handle, and how much pressure do I need to compensate on the stock ECM? Any idea if the O2 sensor should read the same?

Oh, and they only had 4 sixth gens! One 98-00 sedan, one 01-02, and two coupes! Like ~400 cars total. So I said to them that the low failure rate shows how reliable the cars are :D

It was a joke, but it's probly right :D

Now I have realized I should just see what happens without an adjuster.

So I took static pressure stock, swapped, took it again. I'm going to have a cig, then go for a ride.

Stock, ~36psi

TL, ~47psi

So I might even run w/o an MIL! So I won't need that damn reg I just bought!
