Ok, about to do the 5 spd swap here....
i have read the HT write up about six billion times and it would appear he reuses his auto ECU...
i on the other hand intend on using a manual ECU....

2 questions
1) Does this mean I wont have to deal with all the bull repining of the ECU?
2) Is mah immobilizer going to betray me at the end of the swap?

1) You will have to re-do the ECU.
Remember, the rev limit in your auto is set up at 6,250 RPM's
If done properly the ecu for a manual transmission would have a rev limit at 6,800RPM's.
That would have a big difference when VTEC is engaged.

2) You can probably use the same key to start the vehicle since you're technically using the same ECU.
If you switch ECU's then you'll have to get the key rechipped for the new ECU
