Haha I see guys getting flamed for dumb threads..please don't let this be one of those
Yes I read the Legend GS sticky, as well as 90% of the 4-5 lug threads. I'm mechanically inclined and all but crist some people are calling parts different names & mixing my damn head up, and names/abreviations that I'm just not understanding.
I picked up a 98 Lx sedan 4cly today. 4 lug obviously. I'm starting quick to go 5 lug so I can run the wheels I would like & get this thing dropped. If I can't make it fast I may as well make it look good lol. So I've searched and need guidence..make sure I've got the right parts down basically. Just want some confirmation.
Autozone part#'s
2 front hubs for 6cly (930-450)
2 Timken bearings (510050)
2 rear Timken wheel bearings/hub (512179)
2 Legend GS calipers (C9209 & C9208) Do I get 1 of each side or 2 of 2 side?
2 6th gen v6 rotors-11.1" (282mm) (31257) or 7th gen v6 rotors-11.8" (300mm) & matching brackets
4 or 6cyl rear knuckle complete with brakes. If 4cly swap hub & rotor for 6cyl.
With the Legend GS calipers I saw in 1 thread I needed 2 right side calipers to keep the bleeders at the top of the calipers? True or false?
I want the biggest rotor to file the wheels, I read something about 11.8" rotors vs the 11.1" legend gs rotors. 7th gen 6mt coupes have 11.8" I guess..can these be used? Would need 28t brackets I know..
I guess those are my only 2 questions. My parts list should be on track. I'm keeping my front knuckles & just pressing in the new bearing & 6cly hub so its all new vs buying used. Looking for rear 6cly complete knuckles..if not 4cly will work just swap rotor & hub.
I haven't found an answer clear on the 300mm rotors off the 7th gen 6mt coupes though. Would love to use them! Also on the Legend calipers, a few threads said get 2 same side calipers so the bleeders are at the top of the caliper. Others seemed to be using a right & left caliper which is why I'm getting confused lol. Your help is appreciated.
Will run 3.5 Gen TL base wheels or 8.0 Gen Accord Coupe V6 wheels if I can get my hands on them. The brakes should clear if not then some spacers will do the trick.
