Yeah I guess but that's what the hood pins are for. I'm going to get the NRG locking hood pins soon in order to help prevent theft too.

What do you guys think of these NRG Hood Locks? The key outlet looks very universal to me even though it is by NRG. Anyone have experience with these kinds of hoods? Or I can just invest more money and get the Aerocatch locking kit for $95. My thoughts on both are:

NRG: Cheaper than Aerocatch but a little riskier since it looks like your average hood lock with your average key.

Aerocatch: Very expensive, more than double the price of NRG, but has better technology; more importantly, it's a more sophisticated locking system.

Right now the hood popping up and breaking my windshield isn't an issue, since I already have hood pins. What I'm worried about is theft, because since the hood is for a sedan, it doesn't use the OEM latch. So these locks will be the only thing in the way to prevent a theft. Hell, there are millions of ways to steal things on a car without setting off even the best alarms out there.
