When I first did my h23a swap (before the manual swap), my car would idle low at stops then cut off. I changed the fuel rail, injectors o 750 cc (which u may not need to go that high), sensors manifold and tps, that had her running like a Jamaican track star...

All that was a waste of money lol sorry my dude, all you have to do is re-teach the ecu base idle

thats what i was thinking when i did mine. it is tight as hell back there and not going to be easy but GL.

As long as i know that its possible, I dont have a problem trying to change it. Would i have to take the Upper Plenum off the IM first, in order to take the bottom part of the IM off? Or did you just remove the IM off completely as is?

The runners are the exact same thing, only difference i saw was the jdm injectors looked skinnier than the usdm. As for your idle issues idk. I would just swap the top plenum over and you should be golden. Its not hard. :D good luck

I actually just thought about that last night too. I might just swap the Top Plenum over. I was talking to my Professor who is a Master Tech and he said if the harness plugs into the JDM injectors and the car fires up, it should be fine and to just check for any vacuum leaks.

In what vehicle that was sold in Japan did the F23 come in then?

Im pretty sure it came out from nothing other than an Accord. But when i bought the engine, the company said it was from Japan (they couldve been lying). It was super clean tho, supposedly it has about 30,000 miles. And the engine has a black top valve cover and block says "F23A". Anyways, I'll try to take some pics and keep you guys updated if I resolve the issue this weekend. Been busy with work and school, I haven't even had time to mess with the car.

It can be from Japan, and probably is. It isn't a JDM motor, that's a fact guys. Don't know why no body questions the retailer about that...

If "J" is the first digit in the VIN, it techinically is a Japanese motor.. I wouldn't go so far as to say JDM though, because JDM means Japanese Domestic Market, and clearly the F23 was not part of the Japanese Domestic Market as it was made for other parts of the world. Doesn't matter if it was put out into cars in their market, or other markets such as Indonesia, Brazil, etc - it was manufactured in Japan. Otherwise it was manufactured elsewhere.

End of story.
