not until 105K

+1

Your rear drums shouldn't need it. Even 1mm thickness should be fine for a long time. I've got "40mms" on mine and I've had that for over 60k miles. Just do your homework before you get any work done. Unless you're super hard on it, you shouldn't pay more than $300 for a tune up until timing belt time, and that's 105k, as stated above.

Oh. Does the 105k apply to all 6th gens? Mine is a 4cyl if that makes a difference. And the owners manual says 70k. But correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh. So the owners manual is just complete BS?

My owners manual says 105k. Every Accord before the 6th gen was supposed to be done at 90k. You are reading something wrong dude. Here's an online manual for a 6th gen: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/om/AC0000/AC0000O00198A.pdf
That is downright criminal for them to say that work costs that much. The 60k maintenance you could have done most of yourself. $400 for the 60k maintenance? TOTAL RIPOFF! Get your car out of there! I would be willing to bet they didn't do a thing to your car. it has probably just sat there parked and they are going to collect your money. I would ask them to show me what they did to it for $400.
That $3000 quote you said is laughable it is so ridiculous. Are they talking about 3000 pesos?

lol. I was reading the manual that came with the car. But thanks for the info, I guess I can save myself a few hundreds since I don't have to do the timing belt.
