Read this and imagine my tone of voice as if you were talking to a very nice mentor or teacher.
Hopefully this will clear everything up. Do a CF4 fogs mod or not its up to themselves.
For those who understand my situation, thanks you guys have a mature way thinking and dealing with things.
I am sorry about the commotion guys even if i didnt even start it. Seriously I cant believe you guys are having a talk about this that at the same time i am on the process of whether to start or not fiberglassing/bondoing the fogs. I already bought my materials last week, and the front bumper is already off the car in the garage. I am just not sure if i want to do it because i have my eyes set on another kind of foglights. And fiberglassing makes me sick, and I might have to use the car for the time being. (hey the bumper is off, but nothing is written on stone silly).
About the DIY... Its not really something that i dont want to share but also, a more presentable diy is alot better to show and most of you guys agree with me on this right? As far as sharing for the common wealth, raising the bar for us 6thgens is one of my main goals as long as i have the car. I have been in both sides of envying someone and being envyied as far as modifications. Alot of people repeatedly ask me and AXE me, "where did you get you fogs? what is it?" I reply with "its a JDM CF4 fogs, I got it thru ebay". Now its up to them to go find it i dont need to spoon-feed anybody if i know they are able to do it themselves. Like what they say, "Give a man a fish and he will be hungry sooner, teach a man how to fish then he will never be hungry again". Dont get me wrong, i would be very happy (and still hoping) if someone will make a "how-to install JDM fogs" diy thread before me. it will save me alot of headache before i do trials and errors on my own. You kinda see my point there? "Yes!", said the blindman. Again, a good diy is golden. Comparing it to like, let's say not sharing a H22 swap?.... give me a break on a rat's okole. That's the point! you will not share it if its not done properly, and IM SURE you dont want anybody to get into something bad with that improper H22 swap right. "Yes!", the blindman shouted again.
Here's what i mean, i did alot, ALOT of trimming and cutting and what not to my front bumper just to make my fogs fit to the best i can. We are talking numerous times and days of taking off and on of the front bumper. DONT foget the frustrations. I would say its not completly perfect, but i am still on the progression of making it cherry. I dont want the "other" guy who wants to do the same thing would have to suffer for what i have undergone for. I can also EASILY put a disclaimer on it but, some might do it anyway and still blame me for not posting a "GOOD" diy.
Other than fitting issues, my cf4 fogs is not legal in hawaii, so 99% of the time it is somewhere in my house laying inside a hawaiian host chocolate box. I would have to go through alot of things if Popos caught me with illegal stuff on my car. I could get some traffic tickets that i would need to pay for in which i could have just use for other important things (im talking about money). If it was legal here in Hawaii then i would have cement that fogs in there for life, literally speaking. Yes i was with the whole police system but there's no special treatment, if you broke the law, then you broke the law. Period.
For question on the threads i have, PMs and concerns about the fogs. I mean sometimes you just have to read the above posts on any given page on that thread, I really dont like saying the same words a million times over and over over and over over and over over and over over and over over and over again. If i cant provide pics then... its because i dont have or dont have. If i say i use some metal L brackets then you would know what i mean unless you are not mechanically incline. Yes someone mention something about my car being black and easier to hide imperfections, yes that person is correct. I experienced this with my front grill mod. Oh yeah? ORLY? You have seen a guy in your area that has a jdm fog mod too? rong rong rong time ago? wow! go ask him personally and look at it in person---up-close If you cant find him then tough luck, dont be erk'ed! Instead of asking a guy who lives in an island thousands of miles away from you. Who you would have to bother for that person to type, look for camera, look for batteries for camera to use for take pictures, remember things, try to remember things just for you then either PM you or post a diy thread. Wow! and you dont even say please?! What was that gameshow again with that redneck comedy guy with a bunch of schoolkids?... oh yeah it was the "you are not smarter than a 5th grade!". Correctomundo!
I know some people who are researching really good about this fogs and wants to do it also real bad, that they come to a point that i erksszzZZZzz them because i dont share. Hate it or not its up to you. You are erk'd or not that's completely up to you, I dont care. Its not like that you cant live without my assistance. I make the decisions in my life. Just like someone said; who knows, who cares. The whole wide world.com would still turn and time wont stop (like in final fantasy 7). Yes this is a 6th gen Accord thread where everyone can share ideas, mods and whatevers,
but just like what i said i would not present or post a half-a55 DIY. All i can say is just have patience, like what i did. And sharing is caring. When i finally perfected it then Merry Christmas, you will have the info. Not promising anything but expect a DIY on that "infamous jdm foglights" in the future. Honestly.
And for the record, I have a OEM 01 Accord Sedan front bumper trimmed with dremel, steak knife used by my own hands.
NO front bumper JDM CF4/CL1/CH9...etc... conversion was done. Hence my license plate... NOT-JDM.
ENJOY!
