dude, just stop talking. youre completely wrong. there is nothing different about the engine bays between the 4 cylinder and a v6. except for locations of where things are mounted and ran and such. and heres a comparison, first is a v6 bay, second is my bay...a 4 cylinder one...

there is nothing different about the strut towers. and you can see that i have the acura tl-s strut bar, which fits tl's, cl's, i4 accord's, and v6 accord's.

The difference in the towers is not at the upper shock mounts. You know that welded seam that circles the towers a few inches below the top? It is there for a reason.

I'll tell ya what. Let's get a I4 and V6 together and swap front suspension, all of it.

See who's wrong.

i'm willing to swap front ends with mikeymike

honestly there's alot of talk and speculation on the i4 to v6 swap but has anyone actually ever done it? I understand it would be an undertaking but I don't think it's impossible.

It's completely doable but it's just not worth the money. If you have an I4, you have other options. You can go with a motor that is far more of a direct swap, FI, or sell your car and buy a v6, do that swap. They will all be cheaper.

When i was on dsm boards, so many people wanted to make their FWD int AWD. It had been done more than a few times (mostly with spiders as they didn't have the option). But the price didn't justify the swap, you were better off just swaping everything over. With an accord, it's a bit different as many things arn't interchangeable between a I4 and V6 but it's just supsension (which is really is swappable) and rims. All your other mods that arn't interchangeable won't work with the new engine anyway.

I haven't contemplated this swap but i have contemplated doing a v6 manual swap. What that would involve is a car swap. Vastly cheaper to do.
