Hey bro, what does this sound SOUND like? Mine started making a sound because I steel-wooled the alternator and other parts, and little shards got caught in it..

this is why id idn't wanan wash my engine bay! :skurred:

gl with this roy

i was going to wash my bay today but now im a lil scared.:skurred:

Grow some harbls. I made a concoction of water/dish soap/cleaner and sprayed down the engine bay with it and then drenched it with the hose. I've pressure washed the bay before as well. Even the DEALER pressure washes the bays when they detail the cars, why do you think they're so clean?

Oh don't be such a baby. I've washed my engine bay lots of times with no problems. And I don't even use plastic bags... :ugh:

Finally, a manly man.

It may even be something as simple as a loose terminal...? umm... if you have wiggled some wires try located those and checking connections? (i know someone already said that) and yes there could be a possibility of water in a sensor or something like that...

and as far as washing engine bays i have pressure washed my trucks engine bay and no problems... i have also just recently done my engine bay with Gunk Engine Brite Degreaser (didn't do too well probably should of scrubbed a bit but i didn't lol)...

you probably had water on the ignition system and the alternator. you probably had water in the distributor and it evaporated causing it to run fine. you probably fried you alternator too. your car can start and drive like for awhile on just the battery. take it up to a autozone and get ti checked.

or you can just use it as an excuse to do a 3sgte swap. :lolrun:

Yah! I dont use plastic bags either. I just spray the engine bay and let it be done. lol

Like everyone else said tho. Check every freakin relay, fuse, loose wire and connection.

Your distributor might be to blame. Take it off and inspect it. It can cause the car to just turn off during operation and cause misfires that can make the engine sound kinda weird. Like u explained.
