Ok so after much thought, I think I have FINALLY found what sound I want to get. I don't want a sub, it distorts the actual SONG waaay too much because it obviously just puts out the bass.

I want speakers that have really good bass but I don't want a sub. I know someone has to get what I'm sayin. Opinions anyone?

^ Buy 4 new interior speakers, components in the front since you obviously want significant treble. Buy a nice 4 Ch. amp. Just enough bass IMO

I have these..

I mounted the alpine tweeters in my doors under the sail panels and I kept my stock tweeters on as well, sounds really great. Although I wish I had a more powerful amp

+1...like a plug and play kind of thing, right? I'm looking for that as well, since my front speakers are shot.

Why would I need an amp for new speakers? also, do i need a headunit as well? I'm totally a noob at audio

I took off the door panel and dremeled a hole a little smaller than the diameter of the tweeters bezel.

I'll post up pics tommoro morning, looks much better than I thought it would have as I was doing it.

The speakers would work without an amp, and they will sound better than stock, but you definitely won't get that bass you are looking for, amplifiers do exactly as they are named. As for a headunit, OEM's kinda do limit how loud you can go as well as how fine you can tune it but its not required, Im keeping my stock headunit until I can afford an aftermarket 6 disc, I didnt want to downgrade lol.

Do you think a 40 watt amp is enough though?
