Abdi, that's the second time you are questioning someone's debadging of the car. What's it to you? Let the man do what he wants. I like debadged cars way better than ones with "Accord LX" on the back. To each his own. No reason to just down on someone. It has nothing to do with OP issue at hand, and the answer he is looking for.
In terms of what should be done about the paint chips and outline of emblem, clean the area very well. Use alcohol to remove any particles. If you can get direct color match, just spray paint the area very lightly, to cover the blemish. Then wetsand, then clearcoat, then wetsand (2000 grit) again and put polishing compound on. Then wax it. It should come out well. I had a ghost of my emblem in the clearcoat, and this is what I did. Since paint wasn't involved, I just sprayed clearcoat and did what I mentioned.
