Word, I just don't understand the reason to "de-badge" a car. It's kinda ridiculous, unless your car was missing a letter or something. I don't see any point. It's not going to hide the identity of the car, only a fool would not know it's an accord.

Abdi, that's the second time you are questioning someone's debadging of the car. What's it to you? Let the man do what he wants. I like debadged cars way better than ones with "Accord LX" on the back. To each his own. No reason to just down on someone. It has nothing to do with OP issue at hand, and the answer he is looking for.

In terms of what should be done about the paint chips and outline of emblem, clean the area very well. Use alcohol to remove any particles. If you can get direct color match, just spray paint the area very lightly, to cover the blemish. Then wetsand, then clearcoat, then wetsand (2000 grit) again and put polishing compound on. Then wax it. It should come out well. I had a ghost of my emblem in the clearcoat, and this is what I did. Since paint wasn't involved, I just sprayed clearcoat and did what I mentioned.

nobody is trying to hide the identity of their cars, haha, thats crazy. it just cleans up the look. thats all. ive done it on both my accords and on my gti, and they all look much better without the emblems.

You can get a gum eraser wheel at auto-body shops or could order one. It's like a big eraser that hooks up to a drill. You gotta be careful w/ those though, you can take the clear coat off. A gum eraser for drawing is basicly the same thing as the eraser wheel. I bet a draftsman eraser would do the trick. The white one for drawing on velum.

If you want to do it cheap and easily, you can use glue gun. If you do though make sur you are not going to debadge the car again (unless you want to hurt your clear coat)

LOL I'm strait on this! AHAHA glue gun seems way to ghetto HAHA

+1

I want to remove the "A" from the rear of my car too, but I'd have the same two little holes I had on the Accord....
