I used the V2s before and didn't have a problem with them. They were my friends. The V4s seem to work great as well. They are definitley better built, and the fact that the receivers act as little stands is a nifty feature as well.

And get this, I just turned the batteries around and put them back in and the thing fired up. I'm gonna throw this thing if it scares me again, haha.

i've had some issues with the v2s before...the biggest one is it won't expose the whole frame if used at 1/180s, only 1/160s. some say the battery in the sender should be replaced to cure that. its a 12V #23A which i assume is not cheap...

the replacement battery in the receiver is too fat so the door can't close all the way. close it 96% of the way and the receiver won't work.

terribly easy to switch channels on the sender.

you must turn the receiver off when not in use or the battery will die.

and sometimes, you have to fire the shutter a couple times to "wake" everything up.

if i used off camera flash more often, i'd upgrade to the v4s version if half these issues are solved :coffee:

It will take pictures sometimes when the subject is bright and high contrast, but when its not, it will focus (and I get the focus confirm "beep") but it doesnt matter how many times I press the shutter button, it wont take. WTF?
