Oh and that Scion makes no sense to me. I read about it in one of the major car mags. A FRONT SPOILER? Really? Front end downforce? REALLY? LIKE THAT?

For those that don't know, click the link the OP provided and check out the RedLine Time Attack Scion with the Front Spoiler...NOT LIP, Spoiler.

I havent competed in a Redline event yet, so I dont now where Ill be as far as the competition goes. But the car does very, very well on the track, so Im hopeful that it should do well.

And the scion is ridiculous. I know that. But it is fast. It was 20mph faster in the straights at Tennessee than any other car, including any of the AMS EVOs. That front wing setup was designed by the aerodynamicist who works for the Audi LeMans team. Clearly its effective. Not pretty, but effective.

I ran my 6thGen a year ago at VIR. It was just an open track day but man, the car was a cow through the corkscrew at VIR. I also had some lame-o tires, so that would be part of my problem.

With a little bit of work, your Accord could be a lot of fun at the track.

Im not sure if people here are familiar with me or my car, so heres a little info.

H22a w/ type s cams
I/H/E
LSD Tranny
180whp
Koni Yellows
560lb/ft springs on all four corners
26mm front bar
23mm rear bar
Falken Azenis And Toyo Proxes R compounds. (Im bringing both with me)
And lots and lots of seat time. Ive been doing club time trials around here for a few years now, with this and my Galant VR4 race car. The accord is a lot more fun to drive.

Very nice mod list. You are well prepped. Have you any feedback on the Nitto NT05s that are out? They seem to be the new media baby and I want to know if those tires live up to the hype.

What wheel size are you running?

We have a customer with a porsche 930 turbo that races SCCA and he loves those tires. Personally, I havent tried them.

Right now I only have 2 sets of wheels, and both are for the street, (as this is my daily driver.) My summer wheels are 17x7 and im running 225/45 azenis'. I just found the toyos that I used at pocono will put me out of street class though, so I wont be using them. They were to be mounted on my 15" winter wheels.

I forgot to add V6 front brake swap to that list, using Prelude VTEC rotors and EBC Yellow stuff pads.

Also, today I changed the rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes. I need to re-bleed the brakes though. They are a little mushy right now.

After that we re-corner balanced the car to acheive a perfect 50/50 weight balance. With the fresh Azenis on there, all she needs now is and alignment and the car will be ready to attack time.

Wow, I am amazed, but EBCs are garbage. You got to roll in with some StopTech SS Brake Lines, and some Hawk HP+ or better.
Then dump some Motul RBF600.
