Spend the $100 or so and get the 18-55 IS. Well worth it over the non-IS version. Sell/trade the Tamron for whatever you can get. The 18-55 IS is a solid walkaround, especially for the price.So... I want some feedback before I propose the idea to me mom:
I want to trade my Tamron 28-300/3.5-5.6 for her Canon 18-55/3.5-5.6... I really miss having a lens that wide, not to mention it's a **** ton sharper than the Tamron at any focal length and aperture.
I have literally not used the Tamron in about 4 months simply because I'm always disappointed with the results. I know if I trade her for it, she'll never notice the difference on the 300D...
