Could you drive without the timing belt covers? Will it effect the engine at all?
You dont want debris and dirt to collect on the timing belt. It could cause pre mature failure, thats why they are covered. Why would you want to drive without them anyways? People are asking strange **** on here lately.

I just saw some cars that don't have covers. Just wanted to ask thats all.

sohc family car looks beastly. if thats what you meant. LOLI dont know why everyone is acting so weird towards this question. I have seen it time and time again with no cover leaving the cam gear(s) open. I think it looks pretty beastly without it on.

he's talking about this, thats for people who adjust their camgears often. only full blown race cars that aren't Daily Driven do this.
