Transmission problem

i have a 2000 coupe 4cyl automatic. My tranny slips when going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I dont know the cause of this problem. My tranny fluid is still Red in color and it isnt low. what else can it be?

+1^, you're tranny is failing like so many other have. our cars are known for our tranny's failing.

Ahhh, sounds like bad clutch bands. The only way to fix it would be to take the tranny out and rebuild it. It doesnt matter if the fluid is still red. Have you had a flush by chance?

This is the reason why I have given up on Honda automatics, they suck.

5 speed is expensive but the good thing is that it lasts forever unlike an automatic. That explains a lot then. A flush basically kills your transmission. A drain and fill is what you were supposed to do.

That's where you F'd up, or the shop. Ask or call Honda about flushing automatic transmissions or engines. ITS NOT NEEDED! It releases too much debris at one time and causes things to malfunction.

Let me guess...Jiffy Lube Express Expertise Service? :lawl: Sorry dude...but in all honesty, who ever did your flush, contributed to your problem.

naw not jiffy. Honda dealer flushed. lol i guess the Techs there are Wack.
lol. anyway wat all do i need for a 5spd conversion? parts wise and maybe estimated cost
