So i was looking in to getting a throttle body spacer for my 2000 EX coupe. i was telling my uncle about my idea and he said i was stupid because except for a ram air intake my engine is stock he said a spacer would cause tomuch air flow and could trow off my air/fuel ratio and mess up my engine i think hes full of it but he got me thinking so will a throttle body spacer mess up my stock engine?

tbs is a okay modd it causes the air to tumble which is better atomization for the a/f mixture of the combustion chamber

Do you think that is what is happening as opposed to the air just rotating... Since Atomization is particles breaking up, wouldn't you have to be able to prove that the air particles are actually separating as opposed to rotating in a cylindrical cycle. Cyclonic separation is what you are referring to. Cyclonic separation is a method of removing particulates from an air, gas or water stream, without the use of filters, through vortex separation. Rotational effects and gravity are used to separate mixtures of solids and fluids. Although it seems to work in the way you described, it actually is more complex. Unlike what you are describing cyclonic separation of air works much like a vaccuum. READ THIS ARTICLE FOR MORE INFO ON THIS SUBJECT.
