Re: Which turbo woud you pick?

I don't think those numbers are right either. From my experience, even a good .50 trim starts stressing out in the 400whp+ range.

Re: Which turbo woud you pick?

yeah i was reading on that to. 50 trim could barely handle 400
when it says "turbine wheel size" thats the trim right?
looking @ a 62mm turbine wheel size ball bearing turbo which is rated @ 500 hp which is a very good estimate

GT30R would be perfect. I have a 60trim and i start spooling at 4K but i like top end a lot better than early spool and struggling with it to put it to the ground.

^ so ur @ full boost @ 4,000 rpm not bad/ picking a turbo is hard work man lol
ideal specs for a turbo for me would be full boost at about 3500rpm making 400+ to the wheels is that to much to ask for:hahano:

Did you know ball bearing center cartridges where designed for the longevity of a turbo, with a side effect was a tad quicker spooling.

Look for a Billet wheel turbo, they give the big turbo power in a small turbo housing, and are excellent on spool time.

Also know that you cant have both, quick spool and top end. You just have to find that happy medium.

Those 450cc injectors are too small for any of the turbos you listed.

I'm pretty sure the billet wheels are only available on large frame turbos. haven't seen them on anything smaller than a 42r. Which company makes smaller frame turbos with billet wheels?

Well actually, you need your car to spool early because of our limited rpm range and longer gear ratios.
