Clearly.. You have never street raced.

How to Street Race:

1. Pull up to an intersection with a Red Light.
2. Look in the lane next to you. If it is a car worth racing... Rev your engine and bounce off the limiter a few times.
2.1 - If the car looks like a normal vehicle - it might be a sleeper. Just rev to about 4,000rpm
3. Light turns green.. dump your clutch / shift into D, or take your foot off the brake if you were doing a burnout to pre-warm the tires.
4. Accelerate as fast as your little engine that could will let you up to the Posted Speed Limit.
5. Repeat at next light.

Bonus Points if the vehicle next to you is a cop.

Important Rules: Don't speed on the street. Keep the Speed for the Race Track.

In a lot of states/countries you can still be ticketed for that display of action. It's called "unnecessary exhibition of speed or acceleration".
