Re-writing this in the present day 2/28/25.
14 years ago I rear ended a Nissan Maxima on accident. At the time I was about 21 and didn't know any better. The maxima ended up speeding away and I was left on the road. Car cranked over and I moved it away from traffic. Summarizing the story, It would have cost me about $5K to fix it correctly back in 2011. I cut my losses and ended up selling the car as is for $1,400. It was sold immediately. Since then I owned a Kia Soul and late model Chevy Malibu. Drove those cars 5 and 6 years each. As of the present day I drive a 2011 CR-V.
