H22/F20B or Vtec H23 --- All mount the same, heads are the same, only major differences are the bottom ends and cams. You won't have any problem getting powersteering or A/C to work with either swap.

Pick one and move on.

This isnt true, the heads are only the same on the H22 and H23 (blue top) VTAK. the pt2 (iirc) head, the f20b head isnt the pt2 head. cmon now, how can it be the same when the cylinder bores arent even the same?

if you put h22 valves into the f20b, they will fall out. Only thing that can go into an f20b head from an h22 is the cams, valve springs, and retainers. and obvi the cam gears.

Valves and cylinder bores - 2 things. Compared to the whole picture, those are pretty minor.

He's talking about the head being the same just as blocks are the same. Internally of course they are different, any bird brain knows that. IMO F20b is a waste of money on a 6GA anyway.

Right, the whole concept of all 3 motors are the same, but there are only readily available parts for the complete motor in the h22/h23.

i was saying that the heads are the exact same in the h22 and h23. they have the same stamp.

only thing with the f20b lacks is the tq, its a fun motor to drive. the revability is insane. ive driven in a 4g with a f20b, it was fun, nothing that special at all, except the 8xxx redline. i think he was bringing it to 8500. it was paired with a good trans though as well, the f20a trans.

F20b would be a monster in an ek or eg but it would be a waste in a cg. My completely stock H22A Euro-R redlines at 8200, also paired with a wicked lsd trans, and has a fair amount of more tq over the F20b. I did my swap for the rare/unique points (which I now realize are worthless lol). If you want to make power my opinion is either build and boost the F-series and If you have baller money build and boost an H-series.
