Elio, glad you got it figured out. It will be nice to have a working temp guage.

Brandon, I would love to do one with Larry (I think that's who you were talking about), slowaccord, and RJ. 4 red coupes...epic. lol

Almost too epic.

My car doesn't live up to the beauty of the other red accords.... but I'd still love to see them IRL hehe.

So I had my first truly glorious on-ramp experience today! It was perfect too because you turn off this main road with a low speed limit, and it's a sharp turn so you have to slow down a bit, then the ramp is long so you get to shift up through almost all gears...WOW. F'ing awesome and fun as hell! I was literally giddy, lol. SO happy, this was so worth it..the car is an animal.

Just wanted to share that. :) Also means I should be able to get some video sometime soon. ;)

I want to say yes, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks Nick. Have you ever dyno'd your car? I would like to know the numbers just to have them. I've noticed a big increase in fuel econ.

btw, we couldn't put the headers you sold me on the car, the flange that mates with the cat wasn't lining up. I left it at the shop, hoping Rich will re-weld it and ship it to me.

Sucks to hear, it looked great and the guy welded back on the stock piece. Also guess its a little harder to line things up when you start using spacers for the subframe and or mod the engine mounts.

The only dyno I have is from a couple of years ago when I had it tuned at Church's

The flange just wasn't welded back on at the right angle. Somehow the spacers didn't seem to affect anything because the stock headers/y-pipe went back on no problem. Can't wait to get it fixed and put on though. :)

Dyno sheet is impressive! Any other mods reflected in that besides the trans/motor?

I'm jealous.

Lol. Well your car is getting a whole make over, and that's pretty damn cool!

Just headers, port and polish intake manifold, maybe intake mani spacer, UR stock diameter crank pulley, AEM CAI for the CLS, stok CLS size piping (J30A1 magnaflow catback and J30A1 cat) tuned on Apexi NEO.

Now im using Greddy prototype headers, larger exhaust piping and type S cat and mufflers and Comptech icebox intake with K&N filter. Everything else is the same just not tunned anymore.

This thread is AMAZING and very inspiring! :nutswinger::bowdown: I have a 2000 EX I4 5spd :driving: that is my DD and I love this car! I can't wait to do a mod like this to my car! It will be quite awhile before that happens.:boo: I love driving man-trans cars! My '08 Mustang GT is a 5spd. I just bought a '07 TL Type S for my wife...auto!:boo: I would absolutely LOVE to have the power from that car in my Accord!!! I wish she would have agreed to the 6spd! Thanks for the enthusiasm you have for your car as it is quite contagious and inspiring! I wish the best for you in future mods!...AND with your new family life. Congrats on the marriage!

^Thanks a lot. :)

Forgot to update...the clutch broke in somewhere around June 15-18, which was roughly 1000k miles. Seems high, but the drive home from Chicago was all highway so it makes sense. Amazing how different the pedal feels, I like it though because along with me getting better, the clutch as it is now makes the car easy to drive...thus more fun. The shift points are close, and with a touchy clutch it could get a little tricky at times. My wife enjoys a smoother ride now, lol.

Issues:

The check engine light came on Friday night (24th), and went off Saturday night (25th). No change in feel/sound, etc (like nothing happened)...not sure what that was about, Rich just said to let him know if it comes on again & pull the code. So far, it hasn't.

Also, there have been two instances where I'll be slowing down for a light & shifting into N to coast, and after I do, the RPM needle just falls to 0 and the motor dies. It has happened on two random mornings, and always went away after driving for a bit. I can avoid the motor dying by revving after I shift into N.
