Ok so I bought me brand new 12k HIDs for my car and sold my 8k to my friend that has 97 Accord. I assumed the bulb specs are the same but when we went to put it on the bulbs don't turn on. We put back the originals bulbs and it worked and I tested the 8k on my car just to make sure the bulbs didn't burn out and nope it works on mines. So I'm stumped it doesn't work on he's car but it works on mines. So any suggestions? Are they not the same? Thanks!

^^ what he said

Pretty much just disconnect the ballasts and reconnect them, but turn the connectors. So negative to negative and positive to positive.

This happens often since a lot of HID conversion kits are not labeled with the +/- signs.

His car might not have enough surge to power the HID, run a harness to the battery, that will solve your problem.
