Hey guys, i'm new to here but not to accords. I came here to ask a question about a 6th gen i might pick up

Through some small talk i came to find out that a friends parents have a 1998 ex-v6 sedan that has been sitting for 1-2 years because it needs a transmission. What i'm trying to figure out is how much i should spend on it. Mileage is unknown as of right now but i do have a few pictures. So what do you guys think would be a fair price?

As i said earlier i'm not new to accords

I've owned 3

A 1992 ex 5 speed coupe, arcadia green
A 1992 EX 5 speed sedan, rosewood brown metallic
And a 1992 ex automatic sedan, arcadia green pearl

The arcadia green sedan that i just bought on january 9th

The rosewood brown sedan that i've owned since june 2009

And lastly the arcadia green coupe, i only owned this car for like 3 months.

By the way the wheels and the gold grill are literally the same pieces and i've moved them from car to car

idk man. it really depends on mileage. but the fact the tranny is shot and it needs a new one.. id take about 1000 bucks off the blue book.

if its got over120k id givem no more than 1500
because i have a v6 with the need for new tranny and im lookin at 1500-3000

^ yes. i wouldn't give them that much for it. i mean even if it is under 100,000 miles id give them about 2k tops.

$1500-$3000 for a new transmission? the master rebuild kit costs $200 from rockauto.
